Yes I have to agree with you Amy
I have dark blood in my stools
But also bright red as I go to the toilet.

It's not that bright blood they are concerned about its the dark blood in the stools

So he believes it may be coming from my bow.

Just have to wait till Thursday and I'll find out:-(

I'm not your DR. But I'd defiantly persist on having a Colonoscopy to be safe. Especially if he believes it's coming from the bowel. Let me know how you go.

I have had the endoscopy, its not nice mate but you will be ok
The drugs make you have no memory of procedure even though I was awake

I haven't had an Endoscopy but I've had a Colonoscopy as Bowel Cancer runs on both sides of my family and that's what my Mum had. They aren't nice at all but it saved my Mum's life, she was diagnosed at 38. It came back once and she's been clear ever since that lot was taken out. Still, this is worst case scenario. Could just be benign polyps.

Ok, that's slightly odd...
Generally, it's easier and more thougough to go have both while you're under. Especially in your case. An Endoscopy examines the Oesophagus, small intestines and stomach where as Colonoscopy looks at the large intestine, rectum and colon areas.

Just make sure they wash it after one and before the other, I woke up with this shit taste in my mouth

Well Amy,
You were absolutely right.
Turned up this morning at the clinic to have the endoscopy done.
Went through all the pre-checks with the nurse, and then she noticed that I was having PR bleeding. And she said you need a colonoscopy.

After they phoned my GP The endoscopy has been cancelled and I am now booked in for a colonoscopy next Thursday.


All the fun stuff to look forward too.
The full on diarrhoea and all..

The funny thing is as I queried my doctor and he persisted...
