ill be keen to come down aswell aido. ill give my opinion where it suits aswell

I'm having a few scotches for ya Scotty, hope it will make you feel better.

What happened to the auto?? Did your tweaking of the engine push it to the limits? Speaking of #%#suckers in Newcastle, is that all sorted in your favour yet? I hope it is, you've been through more than enough.:cheers!:

court case 14th April Ray.
Just a shit auto that was never tuned properly and when adjusting the pressures properly it has shat the clutches. The cock sucker had the auto apart to put the new shaft in it and hasn't reco'd it,just put it back together.

Yep I'm in. Topics that would interest me are;
1. Pre/Post trip inspection, what should you check? whats likely to come loose etc
2. snorkle & air filter checks after river crossings...
3. most common problems and solutions.

I wouldn't mind going through how to remove and then bolt on a new exhaust system, as well as a how to on suspension (especially fitting and adjusting torsion bars).

The reason I am asking for interest is because I am going to approach at least 4 specialist 4x4 workshops and I need 2 things
1. whos interested ?
2. what do you want to know?

There may be an attendance fee to secure both a workshop and a knowledgeable person for a sat arvo but that will be negotiated and avoided if necessary.

VNOG is becoming a bit of a force and I would like to see us as a group use that as a bit of leverage to secure our selves as a bunch of committed people that are looking for an honest workshop and parts supplier.
It could become a symbiotic relationship. IE help us and we will support you.
Beats wandering around in the wilderness on our own....

Basic electrical fault finding can be very usefull aswell a decent explanation of how car electrics work

Yup I'm in

Aido you legend! Sounds awesome, I'm keen, what heata said sounds good. Would like tonknow a bit about my suspension components and how to troubleshoot some common problems that can occur off road.
Definitely keen to learn anything though,
Cheers, Marcus

Sounds like a great idea Aido (which is more that what I can say for that noise you posted - talented bunch of women dressed as blokes - I wonder how long they needed o use the hair straightener on their golden locks!)

Anyway. Heata's points are good - I'd like to know what to look for to know something is wrong? When something feels wrong what do I look for.
If it gets too involved and technical I'll wander out the back and have a beer with the owner!

All will depend on dates but if it suits I'll turn up.
