What did i pull off my chassis?

Just installed a set of rock sliders.

But had to remove these thing as they where getting in the way.


Any one know what they are?
They where mounted on the side of the each chassis rail at the back.
2 bolts hold each 1 in and they where connected to nothing.

Is the centre bit able to turn. Like a roller?

Nope does not turn, the center is solid rubber.
not an exhaust hanger as its on both sides and the exhaust don't go near them.

What would they be a weight for?

if i remember right its a dampener for the chassis. dampens down the vibrations.

Factory bump stops to compensate for the p*ss-poor ramp-over they designed into it.

Bump stops hey.

I had to remove them to get my sliders to fit.

Am i going to have troubles with the removed?

LOL I wasn't serious, just having a stab at the ramp-over (which is identical to mine).

I doubt they'll cause you any more grief than hearing your wife yell "what the hell are these things you've left on the vanity unit???"

I have recovered 3 D40's in the last 2 years, all hung up on the chassis or side steps. Bad drivers make up most of this, but if Nissan now bolt this crap on what next?

Id rather the vibration and spend the money on putting a decent chain in the engine Nissan!!!!
Obviously the chassis engineers were bored waiting for the engine and body teams...Ha.
