whining noise from behind timing chain cover

hi all, my 2008 navara rx has a whining noise coming from behind the timing chain cover.there is no apparent rattle at all.it does it at idle and low speeds but seems to almost dissapear at highway speeds.has anyone had a similar experience at all?

Before Nissan conceded and did my timing chain the only obvious noise was like a fanbelt slipping. Similar to a whining I guess.

The whining might be the chain running over a worn-out tensioner. Inspection is not easy, but is significantly easier than a rebuild.
