Use to get 1 mechanic to do it but he shut up shop.

Minor service's I do myself, but majors I usually pay someone.

I couldn't be bothered doing diffs, gearbox, transfer etc.

Old mates offsider who use to service the Nav has since opened back up, so Ill get him to do the major services again.

I get a 4wd specialist to do the log book servicing. When warranty runs out I will do the minors and let him do the majors. I'm with you Dave, can't be buggered muckin around with diff, transfer etc. I will never let a dealer touch her again. They have done more harm than good.

i do everything myself its easier and then i know its done properly
cheers
brent

Same here I do everything myself as well that way I'm not paying an apprentice $75.00 hr @ our local nissan dealer then go and check/fix when its done. I like doing it anyway

maitland nissan till the warranty runs out
then i will find a good deisel mechanic to do majors, i do 5k oil myself

^ Check it over before you leave the place.

I have 2 dints in my doors from Maitland Nissan. Realised it when I got home and I couldn't prove it.

Oh and a heads up. Andrew the service manager has cost atleast 6 people I can think of thousands of dollars.

Search for GUDeano on a few forums.

A mate got screwed over and cost him $5000, they misdiagnosed his ZD30 problem, stripped it down and then they went looking for every excuse under the sun to get out of it.

Told him not to let them strip it down, however his Mrs said do it. Compression was in limits and the block still had honing marks from manufacture, piston's were in spec, bearings were all checked and still within specs etc.

Talk to Doctor Mac or another big engine rebuilder in Maitland and they will tell you there thoughts.

thanks dave
i have been thinkin bout getting lake macquarie nissan to do services (owned by kloster group i think??) as they are closer to me
i think you just made my mind up 4 me

I do all my own services. I am a qualified Mechanic and had a stamp with my Quals made up to keep the service book legit for warranty and resale.
Regards

Greg

im a mechanic so do all the servicing myself, i put redline oils through the diffs gearbox and transfer, its guaranteed for a million miles and it never needs changing. so now servicing is easy as. oil filter every 5k.
