Gday all,

Can someone tell me what these plugs are for and should they be connected together? or were they from the nissan fuel filter?

The plugs are under the fuel filter and are brown in colour.

The Nav is a 2008 D22 with the 2.5ltr.

Cheers
Tim

Yeah mate join them up. It's the signal wire for the float to detect water in the filter. This controls the light on the dash that comes on when their is water in the filter telling you to drain it.

One end normally is held in position on the filter mount. But the way they have done it is in reverse and a pain in the butt when you need to change the filter. They have fixed the wire from the filter to the bracket from factory? So when you go to remove the filter assembly to change the filter you have to get long nose pliers to remove the plug from the bracket them disconnect it. So if yours is hanging free leave it like that. It makes life easier in the long run.

Cheers.
