zd30 fan belt and tensioner question

Hey sorry if wrong section new to the forum

Had my d22 zd30 for a couple months and went though some puddles the other week and the fan belt started to squeal it would only do it for a couple seconds after it went through the water. Then went for a 4wd and it started to squeal when it was cold for a couple minutes. Went for another 4wd and went through some deep water crossings now its squealing constantly so I put some belt grip on there and it stops for a while usually till the next morning.

Now my question is do I get a genuine or after market belt to replace it with I plan to be doing a fair bit of 4wd and dont want to have the drama of it squealing when I go through a water crossing. I will be changing the tensioner at the same time but from what I have read the aftermarket ones are fine

I had the same problem, the only the stopped it was to stop 4wding! IMO gates belts are the go

no worries thanks mate I put a gates belt on and went through a few water crossings yesterday and no squeal at all

I changed the bearing at the same time I think that was my biggest problem it was pretty shot
