I've owned a D40, Black-betty. Did 100,000kms in her, Simpson Desert twice, The Cape once. Vic high country on 3 different trips. She did a Mungo NP run, a couple of Flinders Rangers trips as well. She was so good I sold her & purchased a 550.

I wonder if they are the SnakeRacing ones. They did a D40 build-up, it was a blue Nav with chrome-alloy bash plates. They had around air holes as well.

I've got an XROX bar on my ST-X 550, looks tough as nutz! A KingOne 9500lbs synthetic rope winch, a set of 225 Narva's + a smaller set of Narva's, a GME ariel, sweet!. Highly recommended.

ARB don't have underguard protection yet for the STX-550, it's still in production. Thats the 3.0L V6. If you have a "ST" 2.5L then ARB will have something for you as it will be the same as the 2006 to 2012 ST-X D40. The 3.0L V6 ST-X & ST-X 550 have a wider body to fit the V6.
