Been a while now, but maybe someone has removed the mid muffler on the 550. What were the results? Worthwhile. My 550 is now at 150,000 km and just had my second EGR failure. Not happy. Otherwise the 550 has been very nice and fun to drive. Regards Tom

I just replaced the pads on my v9x and noticed the passenger side rubber boot inside the caliper is damaged. Is this easy to replace or does some ABS resetting need to be performed? Thanks, Tom

My navara is up for its 40,000 km service. I thinking of calling it quits with nissan. I have always serviced my own cars and just cannot get my head around the $1200. They will change all the oils. But my 550 is just a highyway cruiser. The diff oils can stay in forever unless they get dirty...

Why not install big wheels which would raise the Nav some 50mm rather than a lift kit ? Is this doable ? I have seen some 4WD which have had taller thinner tyres.

I'd like to replace the standard 550 factory fog lights (lamps would be a better description) with something really powerful which is still the same size. Anyone know what is around or available ? Thanks, Tom

Meet a bloke today who fitted a Pedders rear sway bar to his STX550. He was very impressed. Like me, he uses his 550 as a road cruiser and the 550 may only see a little off road work, usually little more than dirt roads. What are views on rear sway bars ? Thanks.
