Help! Engine dieing and computer tripping in 4th gear high revs.

Hey guys kb here, Just currently doing a simpson desert trip. Crossed the French line, watched the footy final at birdsville and now sitting around port agustar with some engine issues. The computer is tripping and showing the engine light. It happens when I rev in 4th gear around 3000-3500...

HELP! Steering grabbing severely too right!

Nope I haven't checked yet. Just done the jacking and the spinning of locked vs unlocked hubs in neutral and in gear tests. Just took it up bush and both wheels feel as if they are gripping at low revs, to a certain extent. idling is fine and the steering and grip is consistent until 2000rpm -...

HELP! Steering grabbing severely too right!

Yep tried all that, everything is working 100%. Jacked up each end twice and checked the rotation of the tires when locked and unlocked. The tires and cvs spun correctly when locked in and in neutral. When in gear the hubs locked, cvs were all locked and would not move. Plus you could see the...

HELP! Steering grabbing severely too right!

Nah left cv is fine? boots are fine. Mechanics said they were fine. The cvs are turning over when in 4h and 4L. Could it possibly be the locking Hubs?

    Diff drop, is it possible?

I just thought that lowering the diff would reduce cv angles therefore allowing the full 3" to be raised permanently. Yeah I have looked into the 3/8" ones.

    Diff drop, is it possible?

Hey guys KB here This topic has probably been discussed a fair bit through the forum, but i had to ask. Is it possible to drop the front diff to reduce cv angles? I run a 3" calmini/caloffroad suspension lift kit and have run into some issues with the cv angles. Has anyone attempted to drop...

HELP! Steering grabbing severely too right!

Yeah pretty sure it's the left cv. When the left hub is locked in by itself there is no grip or pulling of the steering wheel. All the power and turn is coming from the right when both are in. Oh well they had a good run. 20000km with 3" lift isn't too bad for them to last. Cheers guys thanks...

HELP! Steering grabbing severely too right!

Hi guys, Looking for some advice, the ute is playing up a bit :-S When the front hubs are locked in, and the ute is in high range 4x4, the right wheel has a sensation of digging in and the steering grabs to the left heaps! Happens a lot when speeding up from 20km/h to 40km/h. I have a...

Hey guys got an arb canopy on my 06 d22 str Navara, just wondering if anyone has reinforced their canopies? Just wanting to know how you did it, what's the best way to do it. Planning on placing a 2.2m steel roof rack on top with spare. Tyre and possibly roof top tent. So gotta be strong.

3" calmini/caloffraod suspension front end issue

Hey guys I put in a 3" calmini/caloffraod suspension kit about a year ago. With new upper control arms shocks ball joints 3" iron man leafs. The front end of the ute dips around 1/2 an inch. Maybe an inch. Any ideas of how I could raise the front end? The angle of the upper control arms looks...

    3 inch lift calmini

I had this ordered from caloffraod. Pretty much the same accept the shocks and ball joints are engineered to an Australian standard. I also installed iron man heavy duty leaf springs in the rear, without the blocks, there was no need for them with the rear shock and 3" leafs. Works a treat! Only...

Gday guys, Is it true that the factory breather cap is double threaded? Attempted to fit 1/8 gas thread fitting for the length of hose and the thread would not fit on the rear diff. Any one else have a problem?
