    Insurance issue

Agreed. If you want accurate information, then you need to talk to the right people. This applies to asking on the forums... go direct to the source/appropriately qualified people or you will eventually end up getting burnt.

Monster Rides ReKon Suspension for Navara D40

Have you considered producing equipment for the D22 at all??? Hope so, looks like some quality gear and it is nice when the money we outlay on our trucks stays in the country.

Extending gear stick after body lift

As Leprechaun said, I had a small extension made up that screwed onto the low range shifter and tapped the top to screw the knob back on. All that is stopping it from popping into low is the actual gear knob, lift it up 50mm as well and u'll be all sweet.

    Mikals D22

Nice truck. Nissan should have made them that height from factory imo. I'd like to try and get another inch or two on mine but for the cost it ain't worth it. Look forward to seeing the next mod.

Landcruiser 80 series airbox into d22.

So I used the snorkel from the 3.0 Di. Here is a pic of the plumbing... passenger side looking to the forward. Bottom right of the pic shows the coal fuel canister. If your not worried about legalities, just take this out. Due to the plumbing, they had to move this towards the firewall around...

Landcruiser 80 series airbox into d22.

Cheers, it turned out to be an expensive exercise as I didn't have the tools, etc to fabricate the new mountings so I handed it off to a fabricator. I'll sum up what is involved best I can: -I bought the box with the round outlet on top, not sure which it is. -Cut off the catch tray and close...

What can i get in my d22

Yep, I love my V6 but after all my recent mods I estimate I'm running at around 18l/100km compared to 15l/100km before (nearly stock). Look at the chips, for less than half the price of an average engine swap you might be pleasantly surprised.

What can i get in my d22

If ur worried about fuel economy, do not go petrol!!! Have a look at some of the chips for ur diesel. Most people are getting upwards of 30% gains with better fuel economy.

    Splash the cash!

Couldn't agree more!!! I figured I'd rather get my truck the way I wanted it asap so I could get better use from it now, instead of spending years slowly building it up. As it is, I'll still prob spend years doing things before I'll be completely happy.

    help with some custom work?

Yeah, if you do opt to attempt this yourself be very careful around the hitch connection. Just remember, the more weld, the stronger the connection will be. You'll want at least 100mm of weld top and bottom (plus vertical welds) at the hitch connection. Thinking about it, you would prob need to...

    help with some custom work?

Wouldn't be too hard to weld something up yourself if you had the equipment. But at a guess (based on various quotes I've had done), I'd say around the $800 mark from a fabricators. Prob be looking at half that DIY. If I understand your idea correctly, you might want to be careful with...

Show us ya dual battery setup

Since I'm planning on getting my body lift certified (at some point) I was advised that I need to leave the coal canister in the engine bay. So I'm having to move the 2nd battery into the tub. Then I'll prob look at adding a third battery after it's certified and I remove the canister. Just...

    Whats a bloke to do?

Been there before and probably be there again soon. Overheard some conversations that most of my team is going to be let go in the next week or two. Construction industry is going down the bog hole. Especially here in Adelaide, there is fuck all work here at the moment. Eastern states look much...

What tyres fits str alloy rim

I already said they won't rub. Any bigger and you'll run into trouble. But even then it's a pretty easy job to sort out.
