got plenty snow gear so should be fine. going through snowy mountains on way down so probably change to alpine diesel there unless needed at barrington tops.

My wife and l are about to take 4 months off work at end june 2013 and head down east coast for about 1 month until we go to Tassie . There we will stay for around 2 months checking it out and then spend around 1 month returning back to qld. Just booked ticket to get to tassie with 6.0m poptop...

Thanks for the replies, from memory mine has two harness plugs at the base , but worth anothe look as auto elec want $300 to wire one up through alternator. cheers to all.

02 model, 230,000 only changed rear springs for efs. going well

EGR mod l did my EGR mod the other day, changed hoses and disconnected swirl solenoid. Does seem to take off better now, just need to fit catch can next. Thanks EVERYONE for the info on mod and pics. used s.s plate on inlet manifold. Have been reading threads on fitting snorkel and front locka...

l'v got02 ute with 220,000 km on it and l am averaging 10 lt/ 100 km with @200kg of tools in back for work. mainly hwy driving and just did trip with pop top van 1.3 tonne plus work tools on ute and two fat dogs and got around 13lt / 100 km on average western country

thanks everyone. only use it to take off if parked on hill with tool trailer on. was out chinchilla qld on weekend and found great camp spot at archers crossing which is about 10 km east of chinchilla. huge water in condamine river sogreat for tinny or canoe with the kids. just letting you know...
