I know it sounds dodgy but would silicone work for the sealant between the gearbox and transfer case?

the hardening has worn of the main shaft in the gearbox, only half way around the shaft though. there doesn't seem to be any wear on the input shaft and so was wondering if there's a bigger issue of misalignment somewhere or it's just a case of replacing the main shaft and bearing?

anyone know a good online shop for a gear box mount?

Chasing a gearbox bearing kit for an 08 d40 manual. Anyone know where to get them??? Had a look on eBay and rang a few bearing shops but no luck. Also chasing the tolerence's for the input shaft and measurement for the main shaft. If any one knows it would be a great help. Cheers

i'm after a heavy duty clutch for the d40. who's got what and how much was it? gotta pull the box out to do the bearings so may aswell swap the clutch and fly wheel to heavy duty options. cheers

is there any way to adjust your bonnet height? my bonnet seems to have gone sloppy in the latch and theres about 5mm movement up and down when the bonnet's closed.

had this beaudesert exhaust on for 6 months and found these cracks around the weld on the bracket in front of the muffler. anyone else had dramas like this? rang beaudesert exhaust and taking it in thursday morning. i wouldn't think they'll be able to repair it.

just checked the rear diff oil level and found that there's a black kinda soot stuck to the metal it wipes off and there's oil in the diff. Is it normal to have this black type soot? got a new diff replaced under warranty 18 months ago, if that matters.

do m/t's use more fuel than a/t's?? considering same size. thinking maybe the tread pattern might effect figures.

gettin a set of bf goodrich m/t's and was wondering if 235/85/16 would fit or are 265/75/16 a better option? already done 75 000km on the a/t in 265/75/16.

been noticing a squeaky bearing on start up. its gotten a little worse and seems to be coming from the drivers side pulleys. 1 looks like a tensioner pulley but not sure about the bottom 1? any ideas lookslike something to do with air con possibly? its the very bottom one on the drivers side...

ok. ive got a red arc smart solinoid fitted. havent had a drama running a waeco and an engel fridge off it for 3 years.but now the waeco wont even turn on when plugged in and the engel shows its got power but isnt working. the battery is showing 12.6v and the red light on the solinoid is on...
