    hard floor camper trailer

Gday Nevyn, I didn't think GIC's came with any dust seals at all. The few I've seen didnt. In my opinion I think they could represent value if you bought a one at around $5k. The problem (I think) is that they offer units with extras that are poorly fitted by workers that are not skilled at...

    hard floor camper trailer

You get what you pay for. You would be better off buying a used ausie made unit. The cheap chinese tents on top of slapped together box trailers are not ideal and definently not built to last. Might be ok for very occasional use. I had one and know. GIC have had many people complaining. The...

    Electric Brake Controller Installation

Don't know Tony. I'm still using my P3 as I don't want to waste money on something else I'm not happy with. My P3 does it's job 95% of the time. It's disapointing though. There seems to be tons of people with them that say they are great. Maybe you would be fine. Maybe I shouldn't of said...

    Electric Brake Controller Installation

I'm on my 2nd P3 and recon they are sh!t. They look cool and have all the features but have had a few faults. Both of mine would occasionally hold a volt or two on the trailer brakes even without the brake pedal depressed. Had to move the manual slide and release to drop back to no voltage...

New RTA Modification Rules starting September 29... We have to stop this.

Fair enough Dion. Your right about the tax dollars. We have a public health system that is failing it's people yet we waste money changing things that are not that big of a deal.

New RTA Modification Rules starting September 29... We have to stop this.

Don't we have a system in place now that allows owner certified mods of a mild nature and Engineer certified mods of a more extreem nature. Why do we need to change anything. Good info there BP90 by the way. It spelt out what I assumed to be the case.

New RTA Modification Rules starting September 29... We have to stop this.

So I take it the idea is that by having to engineer approve mods we will save lives. How many lives have been taken to date from an atmo diesel having a turbo fitted or a 4by that just had a set of tires fitted a size or two up. Extreme mods should be approved but I believe there should be a...

New RTA Modification Rules starting September 29... We have to stop this.

I think all those idiots that do stupid things that ruin it for the rest us would do those stupid thing in whatever vehicle they had available to them. Whats more dangerous, a "fully sick mate" Nissan Skyline or a run of the mill Commodore or Falcon that puts out 270kw standard? Our government...

    D40 Fuel Economy

Mines a ST so only has 126kw (something like that). 8 or 9's would be cool though.

    D40 Fuel Economy

I got my D40 almost bang on two months ago and it's up to 9000 kays. (Manual). It started off getting a bit over 11.5L per 100 but its now down to 10.5L per 100. My driving includes a mix of highway and town. I don't sit on 90 either :-) It's got a few inches of lift as well as a canopy and a...

    My camper

Got any pics of it set up? Looks like a well built camper trailer rather than a box trailer with a tent on it.

How do you go towing off road?

Done it plenty of times. It's nothing to worry about. I normally drop the campers tyre pressure down to 12psi straight away and as I have aggressive tread on the Cruiser it's pressure normally needs to go down to at least 16psi. You need to drive with at least 30 seconds ahead up your sleeve...

    Petrol D40 deleted from sales?

No I got a manual. Never drove an auto in either. Wouldn't have thought there would be much difference. (Sounds like I'm wrong). Yeah I recon the Nav (manual) goes pretty good. Sounds like you will have a few years before you need to worry about the tin lid complaining about the room.

    Petrol D40 deleted from sales?

Hoses Navaras down? Your kidding right? (Is yours a petrol or something). The ranger has power low in the rev range but runs out of puff pretty quick. I looked at the ranger at length before deciding on a D40. I take it you don't need the back seats to sit in. I thought the back seats/room was...

    New suspension

The Polyair black airbag kit is about $800 at most places I enquired at. That makes the suspension kit $1200 and I got it all fitted for this price. Yeah....pretty expensive. lol. What figure would you sell it for if you did that for a living?

    New suspension

I understand the concept behind the possibility of failure. What I'm asking is who has had this happen in a D40? Sure it may happen if the extremes are in place but I highly doubt I will ever have a problem using mine for what I have planned for it. I am not loosing any sleep over it.

    My Navara

Mtz's are half worn out at 20k. The 2 ply sidewalls are weak as piss. I had a rock tear a big hole in one (was in low range reverse and 25psi) that rendered it stuffed and another one has a chunk torn in the outer sidewall to the side ply's. I just had to buy a new one and now Im looking to...

    New suspension

What, in the D40 Navs??? Havn't heard of too many myself. The local suspension guy tells me that as long as the leaf springs are upgraded with something decent the bags will be fine.

    My Navara

From memory. 2 to 2.5 inch lift. Trim the standard mud flaps. Thats it. I took the MTZ's off the D22 when I sold it and put them on my cruiser. Still got them on it. Well 3 of them at least. Not overly impressed with the MTZ's.
