No Fuel gauge, no temp gauge, no glow lights [SOLVED]

I have a weird issue, in that the following is occurring. On turning the car to start, I get no lights on the dash at all (glow plug, engine etc). When I start the car, I need to rev it to get the clock up and tacho etc going. Then I get the handbrake and seatbelt light, fuel light works etc...

Almost stalling, loss of power, black smoke

Could it be a timing issue? ie, require an adjustment of timing chain?

Almost stalling, loss of power, black smoke

Nah probably not mate, any other way to check? It's definitely worse when it's cold (think summer cold, hardly moves in winter), but even coming out of a inclined car park (normal street parking) from a stand still requires a ride of the clutch to get out. Not always, but definitely when its cold.

Almost stalling, loss of power, black smoke

EGR is blanked off. Even with no load on an uphill slope you need to ride the clutch to get it moving. I originally changed air filter, didn't help. Fuel filter changed, didn't help. I will check the recommendations and let you all know Thanks

Almost stalling, loss of power, black smoke

The turbo is a second hand one, but the boost sensor was only replaced this year because I snapped the inlet tube off. Will check it and let you know. Thanks

Almost stalling, loss of power, black smoke

Hi All, As the subject indicates, having a bit of drama with the old girl. On starting the ute, if I go to take off without a warm up, it effectively stalls and blows a considerable puff of black smoke as they do. If I let it warm up, it will go but is really down on power/rpm and then gets up...

What did you do to your navara today?

Finally got around to putting the turbo oil tube gaskets on and re glued the boost controller after it snapped. Does anyone know what size the post turbo air rubber pipes are? I'm away and would be great if I could order them to have when I get home.

Old Turbo - What to do with it?

Hi Guys, I have my old turbo and I'm not sure what to do with it. Should I look at having it redone and machined etc or just turf it? I want to thank the guys who offered me the new turbos as well. Appreciate it. Look forward to your thoughts
