Ball Joint Press

Hey guys/ gals,
Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get my hands on a ball joint press? Im trying to avoid having to buy an expensive one as im hoping not to need one too often.

Wondering if anyone has one I could lend (brissy) or if anyone has tried the $80 odd ones from ebay? And if so are they any good?

You mean ball joint splitter? one of the lever ones should be fine, they are about $30. I have one of the mechanical ones you use a socket on and that has always worked although it was over $50 from memory. If not just leave the nut on the end of the thread and hit it with a gympie, soak it in WD40 and heat it up if you can

I think he means to press ball joints in and out of the control arms themselves...

any mechanics or engineering shop would have a press and im sure theyd only charge a few bucks to press em in for u.

Are you talking taking the control arms out? If so how hard are they to align again when re installing?

Nah want to do them on the vehicle One weekend if I can. Hopefully I can find a mechanic to borrow one off
