Got a little bored yesterday on my RDO so i installed a cigarette lighter outlet on the right hand side of the steering wheel. This is so i can have my phone cradle on that side or my GPS without the cords running across the steering wheel.
It was really easy to do, got out my step drill and made the hole (did have a little black thing in there) bigger to 25mm. Inserted new outlet and put on the lock nut. Ran the cables under the dash to the existing outlet and hooked it up. Works great so far.
