Can anyone tell me where this gunk build up is coming from?

Probably a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway. Was just taking a look under the hood and found a build up of gunk. See pics below. Any ideas?

wipe it off and see how long it takes to return. It looks like something is weeping and the dust off that belt is getting caught in the moisture, if it were mine I wouldn't be bothered by it.

Good idea I'll do that. I just want to know where the weeping is from. It's only 2 years old surely it shouldn't have leaks?!

Things heat up and cool down and during that time gaps can become sealed on their own. Just keep and eye on it.

I'm the second owner. It was originally bought at a Nissan dealer about 100kms from me, do you know if I have to go back to that dealer? Or can I go to one closer?
