Do you have the service manual? I've got no idea of there's a cover or not but the manual may provide the answer.

yes the good old gearboxes of yesteryear had a removable inspection plate so you could have a look at whats going on inside the clutch housing area but thanks to our fantastic new tecnology they decided to make the bellhousing a complete dome looking piece so you can,t see a bloody thing unless the box is pulled back.

You could remove the rubber boot around the gearbox clutch fork. You don't see a lot but if you have a borescope it makes it easy.
