Hey guys, new here. Cool Site. I'm going to put a steel tray on my navara but am just a bit curious as to what sizes I should make it. Nothing worse than a tray that is too wide or too long! I'm thinking that 1800 wide and 1600 long would be ideal. Does anyone else have an opinion?

Matt

Hi Matt,
Thinking about doing the same with my D22.
Looking at maybe a 1800x1800 tray
so i can put an aluminum canopy with wind up legs on, so i can take if off when not in use.
Hope some one with some experience can help us..

1800 wide is the ticket. Dont know what length to make it. My tray is 1800x2400 but have a single cab so it doesn't count

i made mine 1800 wide and its 1700 long. i looked at making 1800 long but thought it looked a bit long when i walked around a few shopping center car parks sizing up trays. very stalker like i know lol

Cheers fellas, after doing some measuring I'm gonna get one made 1750 wide by 1600 long. Think those dimensions will be perfect. Bloody dear things these steel trays!!

Cheers.

I have a friend who does steel trays for $3200.
Alloy for $2990 or something

www.buffalofab.com.au is their website. Awesome blokes, Tell Sam or Dougall that Matt sent you and see if you can get some more off the price! :)

I would try and find one at a wreckers and chop it down to length...But I'm tight....
