D22 Wandering All Over The Road

Hi All

Had a 2 inch lift kit put in about a month ago, had a wheel alignment done to.
Now when travelling at over 70 to 80km/h it wanders all over the road.
Has any one had this problem or know what i can do to fix it

It's natural for the car to "float" a lot more - you're further from the road surface And it depends on the sort of wandering you're talking about. If its a forceful pulling to either side, then there might be some cause for alarm, but if it's a general floating around, that's pretty normal.

Also, what size tyres are you running? As you increase the tyre size, you can get what's called "bump steering" happening.

Could be wound up too much at the front, who fitted the lift kit? Can you take it back to them?

I have 265/75 R16 tyres fitted, it depends on the road surface as to how bad it wanders.
I had cal offroad upper control arms fitted to allow for the wheel alignment to be done properly. I have heard that i may need to set the toe in a bit to help it steer better not sure about this though

Checked you drag link and tie rods?? Could be worn.

I had the tie rods replaced aswell, where are the draglinks on the navaras?

i had this problem too and fitted a rancho steering dampener which helped alot

Maybe get the driver breath tested (lol)
