Hi

I have a 2007 R51 Pathfinder with the plastic rocker cover ( black ).

Can I replace this with a R51 Pathfinder 2006 which has the Alloy rocker cover?

Both are Spain pathfinder, what challenges if any will I have?

My timing chain snapped so i need a new engine. And I'm finding it hard to find exactly 07-10 Spain Plastic rocker.

I can get the alloys for literally $2k cheaper

If the new engine is a long and comes with injectors and fuel pump would that work still? And if so, will it work with my ECU?

Also incase I was not clear I am actually changing out the whole engine including accessories.

The alloy top engine will be a Euro3 spec. It will work but the ancillaries such as the fuel pump, injectors, EGR system, and the catalytic converter would have to come from your old engine. If you don't use these parts there could be a conflict with your Euro4 ECU.

While you are changing the fuel pump you may as well fit a duplex timing chain upgrade.

Good luck.
