Morning Lads!

I'n the past, i've been a member of a few 4x4 and ute forums and they all have a thread dedicated to man's best mate.

So here it is!

I figured we could post up pics about your beloved pets, so i'll get the ball rolling.

I have a 13month old Kelpie X Border Collie called "Pint" (That's Pint as in Pint of beer :)). He is by far the most loyal and intelligent dog I have ever owned, and I couldn't imagine not seeing his excited face when I get home from work at night. He loves camping, so everywhere the nav goes, he goes as well!

Gotta say it's not the breed that I thought I'd enjoy having, but our Bichon Frise 'Tasha' is a quiet, loving dog and if I had to get another, it'll be one of these.

Oh oh oh!! $20 says they are Ridge-backs!! haha

I look forward to it matey! I have a rather large interest in hunting dogs. A friend of mine has a Stag Hound X Grey Hound, it's a bloody weapon! It's speed and jumping abilities are like nothing I've ever seen on a dog before.

Use to have a Whippet a few years back, best tempered dog ever.

Got 2 cats now, one acts like a dog.

The top cat is Cleo, you can have a full convo with it, she will keep meowing.

The grey one is Tash, answer's to fatty, fat shit and fat bitch especially around tea time.

Dave.

Way to go Dave, you managed to get a thread about dogs into a thread about cat's in 7 posts, now I see why you were the big hat

I'll get it back on track with something universal to both animals.

Anyone been down to the Golden Dragon and had their Dim Sims?

Well cats are the boss of dogs quiet often.

The white cat acts like a dog, she follows me around the house.

Where's your pets Krafty.

Post em up.

Dave.

No pets, I was too distraught at the age of 5 when we lost our budgie I couldn't handle another one. I always wanted a dog but my dad told me if I got a dog I had to clean up after it and being a lazy teenager that didn't sound right. Next door always had dogs, he had a wonderful Jack Russel when I was growing up but once again the scars are too much.

sparky and bella. a couple of weimaraners. bella is 4 1/2 and an absolute machine. sparky is 2 1/2 and is just a lazy little shit.
they chase the car up the beach flat out but sparky just stops and waits coz he knows you're going to turn around eventually. both can swim like fish tho

what u say about no pets ....

how many cattle u looking after ?

They aren't pets, as much as treating them well and treating them right is a benefit to all you can't treat them like pets or you never want to eat them for dinner. Freezermeat was the last house cow we had (many years ago) and we had to sell it to someone else to kill it because the nieces wouldn't let it go the same way as others.

We lost a lamb last week, not sure if it's dog's of foxes but there wasn't much freezermeat left on that by the time we found it.

we have 2 staffys,both girls.
Maddy is 3yo brindle, and she is as smart as can be.
Charli is 2yo blue, and she is cute but lazy, also called fat shit, charles barkly, chunky, wombat etc.
I dont know what i will do with out them when that day comes...
they are like another 2 kids in the house, sleep on my bed..etc
best breed of dog for indoors..
pics to come,tonight

Dave, I know you is pretty much "the man" around here so yeah as Krafty said, stop talkin bout cats or I'll use one if those "f" words!
Just kiddin mate your cats are cool.

I've got a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Maltese Shihtzu that one day the ridgey will realize it can eat, and the I'll just have 1 dog.
I'll post a pic soon, there'll be no cats in it sorry Dave!

I have seen dogs back down to cats.

Use to have a whippet.

Ill look for a pic, she was a awesome dog.

LOVE THE DOGS - whether they are the fluffies, the runners or the workers.

Here are my mutts -
Buzz the ridgeback - 10 years old - By far my favourite - hence my mood being 'Buzzed'. He is a Grand Champion, Tracking Champion and Track & Search Excellent, and an Endurance test pass. Has sired 15 champions in 4 countries. But most of all he is a champion dog to have around the house and in the bush. He is bomb proof around other dogs - and that's what we aim for with all our dogs.

Jarla the ridgeback and mother of two litters. - 5 years old, daughter of Buzz - Australian Champion and Tracking Champion. A great bitch who loves hanging out with the pack, very complacent and easy to live with.

Hawk - our 2 year old ridgeback - Grandson of Buzz. Has a good show career infront of him, and has passed his first tracking test. He is maturing very well - and boy does he love to run!

Jet - 6 yr old German Wirehaired Pointer - Australian Champion, Tracking Champion and Endurance test pass - one crazy obsessed dog! Loves birds and chasing rabbits & foxes. Great dog to take bush on his own, or with the terrier and ridgies.

Soda - 3 yr old Border Terrier - Australian Champion and Novice Earth dog - tough little bitch who will take on anything! Loves to escape and disappear into the bush behind our place.

And finally - we have little Tara - 8 week old ridgie - daughter of Jarla.

Despite all the titles and crap - these dogs are our pets and mates first up. I love tracking with them or heading to the pine forrest for some fun!
We do take them to obedience classes but that is mainly to socialise them and teach them some manners. We insist our dogs are well adjusted and safe with other dogs.

:cheers!:
