engine noise (zd30)

Hi guys,

On the weekend i noticed my car is making a new noise. It was only doing it on cold start and would seem to go once the car was at running temp. Sometimes it wont do it all. Its coming from the front of the engine. Sounds like its the fan belt to me. Has anyone else had this issue?

Check your clutch on the alternator, they make a horrible noise when they go.

Alright I'll have a look. How do i know if its stuffed?

put a solid rod on the alternator, on top behind the pulley, and put your ear to the other end, with the motor running, and you will hear it through the rod if it is stuffed.
