Hi,

My 2008 D40 diesel Navara is spitting out fault code P1272.

Car goes into limp mode with heavy acceleration. Ecu rest works for the short term, but Nissan is telling me that fault code is fuel pressure relief valve. They are also saying I have to replace the entire fuel rail.

I have seen pressure relief valve on ebay on it's own for sale.

Can I just replace the valve? Or do I need to replace the entire fuel rail?

Thanks!

You can actually just "shim" the valve - that might also fix it.

However, I would be looking at your Suction Control Valve that actually controls the pressure. Remove and Clean could be all it needs. Also give the earth beside the ecu a clean it is the main earth for all the fuel stuff when you clean it spread the little legs and check its not starting to rot out behind the solider were you cant see it and carry out a fuel relearn and your problems should go away unless you have a more sinister problem

I think Ford sells a Fuel Rail sensor that is compatable with the YD25...

Aslo do a pump relearn and you should be fine

Is your car "chipped" at all?
