Iv had a engine warning light come on my 2002 zd30 so I changed the fuel filter and cleaned the muck off the sensor and its still there.
I un hooked the battery for a few hours and that stopped it for about 1hour.

Then today after getting well p**sed with the light still flashing I pulled the filter off and tightened all I could in case it was loose anywhere.
I then noticed that the wire's from the water sensor in the filter was frayed and was exposed just as it entered the plastic senor cap. It looked dirty and black as it had been a bit melted?

Anyway It did'nt look good so I un plugged it and thought that maybe might stop the light from coming on but no joy!

Anyone got any idea's? Can I buy just the sensor? Could it be a fault anywhere else on the engine?

*Just to add it drives sweet, no smoke and power seem's normal.
