Head gone

After other people’s thoughts, have a 2012 d40 with blown head, needs timing chain as well and a couple of other things. Been quoted anything up to about $9500 to fix it, question is, is it worth it or should we just look at wrecking it?

Personal opinion - for 9k definitely not worth it.

If you can do it yourself for half the price? yep worth it.

All depends. Can you afford 50k plus on a new car? If not, 9k is worth it IMO. You also need to take into account how your car is set up with accessories, mods, aftermarket gear etc… as they will be extra costs on any future car.
