I found that lights on the rollbar tend to reflect too much off the bonnet anyway and not really that practical on road.

Do the Euro's get HID's as factory spec in Nav's?

Thats an easy fix, just get a small shield on the bottom to deflect the light. They used to use similar type shields in WW2 to make sure the lights didn't reflect up or down so they were harder to see from the air. Some Narva lights have a similar feature where there is some black plastic at the top of the lens to stop the top of the light reflecting into the drivers eyes when they are illegally mounted on cab over truck bullbars

Going by other websites it would appear there is just as many Pom's converting to HID so I'd assume they don't have them spec but it does appear their laws do allow them if done right
