How to care for synthetic winch rope?

Hey all, i've got the Dyneema Synthetic rope on my truck, and i'm wondering what the proper care instructions are for this stuff? I don't want to prematurely degrade it's abilities.

I slit a bit of old bike tube open and sorta zip tied it loosely over the part of the rope that the sun can get to between the hook and winch. UV kills just about anything.

If your talking about maintaining it, just push it together until the rope balloons out and just wash in soapy water.
