Depends on the adjustment you're trying to do, and which model Navara you have.

The D40s can be aimed with a philips screwdriver. You might be able to do that with the D22 as well.
 
yep d22 requires a 8 or 10mm spanner.Adjusters closet to the centre of the car are height adjustments and the outer adjustments are your side to side aim.
 
thanx, men. its a 09 d40, iv just had rear leaves reset plus extra main leaf,,, as well front done too. so, i need to lift the lights up,,,, i tow a 2,5 ton jayco sterling, it made a great difference,,,,
 
Same as mine. Long-shaft Philips screwdriver required. Look down the rear side of the light on the side nearer the bonnet catch, you'll see a round receptacle for the screwdriver. Clockwise raises the beam, anticlockwise lowers it.

I have to do the same operation to mine, we had our suspension replaced with Old Man Emu Dakar springs (dual-rate leaf springs and HD coils) which raised the front by 40-odd mm and the rear by 85mm.
