Had nissan do the upgrade today. All seams normal.

Haha being nissan I would imagine so. Ill have to hit my service department up when mine goes in for its 30k service

Dropped it in for a service and told them someone stopped me to tell me I was blowing a lot of smoke.

d22's need software? They have computers? I thought the only software on a D22 was the seats and tyres.

Got mine done today, the Nav feels more responsive but that could be the wet roads.
Will see if the smoke has reduced when it stops raining.

There is no upgrade and never will be it's just a ploy put up with the smoke
nissan have not reflashed anything or done anything to change it it's all crap they reset your ecu when you present with this problem but it goes on look at the air fuel ratio outside nissan it's lean on normal and when changed your tuning your ecu won't pump heaps of fuel on take on nissan they are full of it as we know
