Hey my Nissan d40 has snapped its timing chain nissan told me that if the motor was in good nic it never should have happened the motor was in good nic before this happened what can I do

A snapped timing chain might also mean some damage to other parts of the motor, most commonly valves and pistons. You would have to closely examine the valve guides, valve seats and the cylinder bores. Usually, timing chains go when the tensioners fail.

If you're going to rebuild it, start by talking to Paul from www.yd25.com.au and ask for his double-row timing chain. You will never, ever need to replace it once it's gone in.
