Have a look on the Mobil, Caltex, Shell, Castrol or Valvoline websites and I'm sure you will find an eqiv ATF, Oils or send them a email with your vehicle details and your lube query.
Remember, one of these oil mobs makes the lubes for the vehicle manufacturers.

I always get some oil drips on my floor after the car has been serviced, its usually only for about 3 days, its from the little tray that catches any excess oil when they remove the oil filter and the hose from that tray just ends up pointing at the ground.

Thought I would write an update regarding my non dealer experience.
I asked my motor mechanic mate (The one who does not like dealers) who he would recommend I go to for my 10K service & he gave me a couple of service centres to try.
I rang them both & found one who seemed to have a really good knowledge of the D40, they also have a lot of experience with off road. The book service price quoted was $295.
They waited until after 5.30 for me to get there after work (The dealer closes at 5.00 SHARP, so want you there before 4.30). They spent quite a lot of time going over the work completed & didn't worry about the time. The Nissan dealer told me not to worry about the 5K service as I didn't do much heavy work. The service centre was very concerned about that advice, & offered to supply the same synthetic oil & genuine filter if I wanted to change the oil myself between 10K services (They will be doing the 15K service), explained about the heat generated in the turbo & the chance of burning the oil left in the turbo when the ignition is switched off. Oh, & they got the name of my mechanic mate so they could send him a voucher for recommending them.
The name of the service centre for any Geelong members is "Rally Motors". After such a pleasent experience, I can highly recommend them.

I too was hesitant of dealer servicing as i used a trusted mechanic for all my other cars. With the new nave picked up 4 weeks ago took it in for the first 1thousand K inspection. I paid extra to get them to change oil as expected. To my suprise i get my 3 week old Nav D40 back with a sctrach on the left mirror and the left side rear tube, both touched up with matching touch up paint! I complain to the deal who of course deny by end up replacing my mirror and offering to buff the touch up paint on the tub flat. I said no to that as it would have wrecked the clear coat and surrounding paint. As i was already non trusting of the dealer service after that experience i will not be back! How can i trust my car to a work shop mostly made up of sub 20 year old service men who likley drive crap cars and no appreciation.

My local dealer actually punched the door in on a mates cruiser when it went in for it's 1K look over, there was no doubt they were at fault and did accept the repair at their cost but they wouldn't tell him what had actually happened or what they were doing when the accident happened. That's partly why I'm hesitant to buy or deal with these idiots.

My old man wrote off a customer's brand new HZ many years ago when he was taking it for a test drive after doing a brake tighten. Straight out of the dealer down Spencer St and t-boned by a truck that ran a red light. The car was drivable and as the owner of the dealership told him as long as the accident wasn't his fault things are all ok, however driving into the yard while the owner was in the waiting room raised a few eye brows.

I had my d22 in on wednesday for its 1k service, things to be fixed included wheel alignment/steering issue pulling to left badly, install central locking (thank f&*k)! and address paint issue on rear plastic flar & inside tub.. pick it up 5pm and see the central locking is done! paint hasnt been looked at (was told they were too busy :p), front drivers window tinit had 3 scratches about 100mm long form installing central locking, which no one noticed they had done! and the car still pulling to left after being told the wheel alignment was done...

Went back in friday to fix what should have been done plus replace the tint they stuffed, was told wheel alignment was definately done this time! they reapinted the wrong rear flare, how the hell they did that i have no idea as you can quite easily see the one that needs painting... car still pulss to left, not as bad but still will do a circle on its own!...
I give up....

I've heard people complain about the wheel alignment issue before. Apparently the manual says to do certain things to complete the wheel alignment but these don't take into account differences in manufacture, tyres etc.

If it's pulling to the left, you'll wear your tyres out quickly - it's something I'd see to. Tell the dealer you'll take it to a wheel specialist that knows about Navaras and you'll send him the bill for the alignment, or you'll just send the dealer the bill for the new tyres!

i know mate and i agree but i just cant be bothered with dealing with them.. its too much of a headache, i would rather just go and get it done properly myself, not worth the headache! :)
