Probably not I was an operator years ago QBP 752 mostly foreign now and hard to comprehend.Does anyone still use the 27mhz band on here?

Well as it turns out 27 Mhz. is still in the HF band. Sort of. As for setting it up. If you want to use it as a point to point communication with some one you know it's great now days, it's like having your own private channel and if it's SSB. mobile to mobile will well out perform UHF for range. A good base to mobile setup will go 30odd K's or more.

I still have the old ax144 pumping out 25wts. Could speak to my mate 120kms away on ssb no problem. And overseas when there was skip.

That's all I had it on. Every blue moon when I had it in the truck out west I'd chuck it on 19 for shits and giggles a might get a little of USA but rarely.
