Has anyone flushed their power steering fluid? I think I need to change mine out, looks grotty and its not as responsive, but not sure how to go about it. Without buying the manual, anyone got any tips?
A Few Ways.. I get a squeeze type sucker and draw all fluid from reservoir..Fill with clean fluid. Start briefly and repeat several times. At the end turn steering back and forth to flush the rack or steering box.
Or. Remove return hose and place in a recovery bottle. 2 people needed for this, One to start engine and turn steering wheel back and forth..the other adds fluid to the reservoir to keep fluid up to the system while the old fluid is flushed out.
