Series 80 airbox - why not 100 series?

Hey all,

I have been reading the threads about cruiser airbox fitted into d22. The consensus is that 1HZ is the best fit, but everyone is using 80 series airboxes only.

Was just wondering if there is any issue with using a 100 series airbox?

I just had a 100 series turbo diesel in for a rego check and had a look at the air box.It wont fit,the inlet that connects the airbox to the snorkel is angled wrong and wont align with the hole in the inner guard of the D22.
