Our of curiosity. How much would a rear bar with a swing away spare carrier be setting me back.
I might need one at the same time as the bash plates as I'm not sure if the 285 will fit in the spare area. Cheers

I agree but I'm on the beach most of the time and rear clearance hasn't been much of an issue for me, it looks like there would be some clearance issues with my trailer coupling and the tailgate. So I'd have to retain the original anyway if towing.

I was thinking more along the lines of an extra hitch to carry something useful if required. You guys are right though, I could always take it off when hitting the gnarly stuff.
