After doing a search still can't find a straight answer. I just brought a Nissan snorkel for my 06 d22 and I want to no exactly what sealer to use I was looking at the Sikaflex range last night and couldn't see any that said sensor safe. Little help would be awesome.

probly doesnt need to be sensor safe as its before the airfilter. just let it dry properly before driving it

I know places like auto barn and supercheap do sell a sensor safe silicone. I accidentally used black roof and gutter silicone on my snorkel but still have had no problems with my sensor at all. I might someday pull it off and do it again. I would be trying auto stores for sensor safe stuff

Oh I also forgot to add the brand

Permatex Ultra Black RTV Silicone or if you use SikaFlex use the automotive 227 I I think it is

Yeh I've got a tube of 227 in the shed but it didn't say sensor safe that's all

Open your bonnet take filter out and fill intake with rags, but remember to remove once glue is dry!
