i'm looking to order wheels/tyres this week and would also like to know the best offset for 16x8 running 265/75R16. single cab d22 dx 2in lift

A guy that works with my brother has 16x8's +20 offset with the same Micky T's I have on his Nav. they sit inside the guard as standard. It makes the rim look fairly flat faced though. I wanted a bit more stability on dirt with abit more agressive look, so 0 offset it was. (get more stone chips though).

Hmmm I mite just go with the 16x7 rims and the Maxxis tires. Rims are a +28 offset so it'll stick out lol more then standard rim but not a lot.

just had installed 16x8 +20 offset rims fitted with 265/75R16 and can confirm they are a good fit. only a little bit of trimming needs to be done to the inner part of the mudguard

Felixblack, can you throw some pics up. I have a single cab dx and would love to see what they look like.

I didn't care about a deep dish look. I just wanted it to fit right. Cut a bit off the top inner part of each mud guard and raise the ute 2 inch and I've done over 600km on them and no scrubbing. Now with 32inch tyres I'm happy with the clearance. Can't wait to test them up Fraser Is. in couple of weeks

Gday all iv got a d22 with 3" lift with 16X8 landcruiser off set with 285 claws and a bit off inner guard chopping was needed on both ends of the ute

Felixblack, mate she looks good. I will be running 265/75 muddies, the only decision left is +20 or 0 offset. What brand are the wheels and how much where they. Im finding the 0 offset wheels to be cheeper.

Case84, that setup sounds good. Def wanna see some pics. The landcruiser steelies are a negative offset arent they??

I have 16x8 with black steels with +20 offset from Kings.
Checked the invoice - $125 each.
Tyres are 265/75 (32")
Needed to trim a small amount of plastic from the front mud flap.

thanks Skater, i'll have to check what brand but yeh they were about $125. they wern't kings as they out of +20

Hi Guys,

I just had a set of 16x8 +20offset King wheels fitted with my OE bridgestone dueler a/t 265x70 tyres (may as well get some use out of them before the muddies go on) They out about an extra 25mm - perfectly flush with the wheel arches, so still totally road legal. With 32inch muddies on may just stick out a little... Looks way better i reckon....

Hi RustyNav.

Got em for $110 each plus $25 per wheel for swaping tire and balancing. From Tires and More in Robina, they ordered them from King Wheels in Brisy.

Zordo mentioned you when he did my EFS lift kit at his place come to think of it.

Good luck with the wheels - I'm already itching to get new tires, but i still have heaps of tread on the stock tires..

Ahah most likely he did. I sent my brother with his patrol to zordo. Got 65mm front and rear out of 50mm lift kit. Shows how stuffed the stock stuff was.

How u finding ur efs lift??? Wat did u go in shocks??? Firms or comfort

Cheers

$106 each kings sunrasia +20 offset in black. With 265/75/16 maxxis bighorns for $253 each. From bob Jane in browns plains. Should get them shortly

ohhhh... I was just looking at some bighorns this morning - thinking they are a good tire for the price.... I might just have to get some too...

Yeah, the EFS kit seems good on the whole, Dont know what shocks I got, but had Heavy Duty leafs whichg initially i found really stiff and a very bumpy ride, but seem to have setteld down a little - still stiff though. But I am glad I got the HD springs coz when i'm loaded up with gear, it feels great, and still heaps of height. I am getting drawers and a roof tent soon too so definately the right way to go for me i think. It has been squeeking ever since i had the lift done though which is annoying....?

If u got hd springs u would have firm shocks all round. I have comfort in back with firm in front. Nice ride and super happy. Will be doing cape trip in couple of year so will be getting hd stuff later on. It's not needed at the moment as I don't carry anything. I found it squeaky until I greased the shackles up.
