swap for a patrol turbo

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has done a turbo swap for the zd30 motor and put the turbo from the same model patrol, would it be a straight swap or would it not be worth the effort?

The Patrol's turbo is a VNT, the Nav's ECM won't be able to control it.

You would need a GU ECU and wiring as the GU runs a AFM where the D22 ZD30 runs a MAP sensor.

the patrol ecu setup is cause of many problems. much easier and better to use dawes valve (vacuum version of a boost controller).

just be aware there is a couple of different turbo's for them and they are known to have problems.

Thanks for all the replys guys. was thinking of doing a turbo upgrade and was just sort of tossing up some ideas was looking on the garrett website and found that there was 3 different gt25 turbos and wasn't sure which one would fit so i thought that this could be another way around it but if it causes more problems then it solve i won't bother with it.
