Hi Guys
I have recently purchased a 2007 D40 2.5 diesel engined Navara, the Ute has traveled 111000km and it appears that the timing belt has not been changed by the previous owner at 100000k service. Has the Navara got a rubber belt or a chain? If it is a chain does it require changing at 100000K ?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

What Tweake said.

The timing chain should last the lifetime of the engine if its serviced properly.

Thanks

Hi all
Many thanks for the prompt replies, I suspected that it had a chain rather than the belt but the Nissan maintenance book states replace timing belt at 100,000
Thanks again

the handbook covers all the models, you will find its referring to the petrol version.
