Timing Chain

Hi guys, problems with my D40 diesel, i have a timing chain rattle at take off, im losing power and economy, wondering if its just a programme re-tune or any other ideas would help, cheers johnny

I recently had everything timing chain wise replaced in my 08 D40 TD. A tooth had broken off the timing gear and worn just about everything out. Luckily, Nissan covered it even though it was out of warranty.

Took a local mechanic to find the problem though.

I also had the timing chain and all bits and all the pieces associated with it replaced. Chain was stretched and teeth worn. I have an D40 '06 Auto with only 120km on the clock.

there is a upgrade kit out there paul at yd25 has made a doudle row kit have a look its alot beeter then the nissan stuff
