This is going to be a CONVOY!

Ah, breaker one-nine, this here's the Rubber Duck. You gotta copy on me, Pig Pen, c'mon? Ah, yeah, 10-4, Pig Pen, fer shure, fer shure. By golly, it's clean clear to Flag Town, c'mon. Yeah, that's a big 10-4 there, Pig Pen, yeah, we definitely got the front door, good buddy. Mercy sakes alive, looks like we got us a convoy...

Was the dark of the moon on the sixth of June
In a Kenworth pullin' logs
Cab-over Pete with a reefer on
And a Jimmy haulin' hogs
We is headin' for bear on I-one-oh
'Bout a mile outta Shaky Town
I says, "Pig Pen, this here's the Rubber Duck.
"And I'm about to put the hammer down."
'Cause we got a little convoy
Rockin' through the night.
Yeah, we got a little convoy,
Ain't she a beautiful sight?
Come on and join our convoy
Ain't nothin' gonna get in our way.
We gonna roll this truckin' convoy
'Cross the U-S-A.
Convoy!

I must say I was slightly concerned about meeting a group of blokes at a servo and then driving into the bush at night... Deliverance anyone... And then you start quoting convoy!! Man, I'm actually contemplating sticking one of those ducks on my bonnet, you can get them in Bayswater, but think it's a bit wankerish.
Kingcab'08, "you ever ride in a truck?" "do you want to?" maybe you can give me some offroad pointers....

Anyway guys, I'm Marcus a greenkeeper living in Healesville.
Cheers.

Dont be scared we are a mixed bunch for sure - and thats what makes it fun to actually meet up.
08Kingcab is a geek of sorts for CSIRO with handy skills in metal fab and has a vast knowledge in most things (he's a walking Gooogle)
Navarian is a specialist in liquid rock and a razor sharp but very dry wit
I'm an overweight ranga that indulges far too much in my occupation
Heata is responsible for educating the next generation - god help 'im
Scotty is, well he's Scotty.
Rest of the mob I am yet to meet but I'm sure they are just as obscure.
Should be a good night out.

I think Aido may have a banjo hiding away somewhere?

I can jump in with you if your feeling nervous. 4W driving isn't difficult, it's just a matter of gaining confidence in what your vehicle is capable of.

Na,

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit!

I mustn't type enough bullshit to rate a mention in Aido's memory..............the first page must be too far back.

Sincere apologies Ridgie. I had you written on my cheat sheet here but I missed typing you in.
So thats 11!

Hey digbyj,

We currently have 2 male and one female ridgie, one desexed male GWP and a desexed female Border Terrier. We have a litter of nine ridgie pups that are 8 weeks old - one will stay with us and the rest leave on the weekend.

How old is your girl and who did you get her from?

Perhaps I should start a thread - Show us your dogs!

We got ours from Merlene in Whittlesea area. She was bred from some champ dog from Queensland and one of hers. She's really light in colour and has no ridge so was half price!!!! We love her though!

Perhaps we should start a thread, show us your bitches!

Where do you breed, might've spoken to you when we were looking?
Cheers.

just an idea but i think it would be a good idea to make the list of people coming and a small mods list of what each has so we know what kind of cars where dealing with???

something like this:

onlock - 2" lift, 32" bighorns, xgt's and a winch

Good Idea, I also think if everyone turns up, it would be better to split up into 2 or even 3 groups otherwise it will be bedlam if a 3 point turn is required.

Jason AKA 08KINGCAB - Broken right wrist, (nervous passenger)

PM sent to digbyj.

Ridgie - 32" MTZ, Snorkel, EFS HD suspension, 240 Blitz, GME UHF, Hi-lift jack, recovery straps & shackles, l/h shovel.
