townsville diesel mechanic

Hi Guys,

My D22 is just shy of the 200k mark, thinking of taking the old girl in to get the whole thing looked over. Mainly i want to have to fuel system, injectors and pump looked over.

Can anyone recommend a workshop in the Townsville area or even a diesel specialist around here.

mate i live in the ville...and havent found a diesel mech guru...however i have learnt a lot reading stuff off the web and this forum...so much better knowing stuff for your own good mate....

yeah i do most work myself, like oils, bearings, electrical and installs. I've learnt a heap of shit off this forum too, its unreal how easy it is to find information on hear, generally if i think of something i want to try, its been done and reported on here. I'm in the middle of installing a water to air intercooler and finishing off my tray at the moment, But i don't think I'm quite capable of cleaning my injectors and checking the running of my injector pump, rather leave that to a professional.

yes u r spot on with leaving the injectors for the pros.

there is a yd25 guru at nissan dealership Steven...but could cost you an arm n a leg...being at nissan lol

Been a while but I think I used to go to Townsville mechanical twice and therE was a shop on cent Schmidt and wollcock st that did a couple of service and suspension lift for me. Can't remember the name. They were both good blokes and honest work. The second lad runs comp trucks or used to 2 yrs ago
