best way to check the oil levels in my gearbox and transfer case on my d22 3 litre diesel turbo thanks ,

Open the fill plug (top one) and stick has finger in. You should be able to touch the gear oil as the fill level is just the height of the filler plug/hole

check gear box oil ,when i undid the plug [top] ,oil started to trickle out ,must have been filled on a hill,oil is clean , checking transfer oil as i speak
