I finally fixed the wimpy horn.
Sick of getting the middle finger from kangaroos as they go under.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy so far. Just can't wait to get the inside a sorted and ready to go at the drop of a hat!!

Gave her a good run up the Hume to Nagambie (bout an hour and a half from my joint) and back yesterday. First time on a highway with long gradual hills with the Forefront turbo and 3" zorst. Pretty happy with her. Didn't miss a beat

What I did today.....

I Fitted a remote head UHF into the dash tray on my D40 today, hides neatly under the dash mat flap. When I take the mic off, you wouldn't even know it was there. The more you can keep these things out of view, the better . I also fitted an extension speaker on the roof near the rear vision mirror. Gives much better sound and clarity than the original.
Also fitted a set of air bag compatible seat covers for extra comfort on those long drives, which have rear pockets and an extra pocket on the front of the seat cover which is very handy. Also finished the install of the VSR for my dual batteries.

Someone else did to my navara

A nice crease in my TJM bullbar last night. A silly old traffic controller driving a truck manage to push in and crease my bullbar at pre-start last night. Thankfully it took most of the damage and it's still drivable with only minor damage to the car..actually very minimal. Thank f%#k!
I reckon it's cactus though and I'm due for an upgrade if I can swing it with the insurance mob.
The stupid part is when he got stuck on it, he tried to have a couple more goes at it.
Luckily there are multiple witnesses and we all took photos.
I'm not very impressed, but it is what it is.

When I say upgrade, I mean the bullbar only. The ute will be right for another 261000kms. (Love that car!..I mean ute.)
