What to upgrade first

Hi Everyone!
Just picked up an '07 ST-X D40 Auto about a month ago and have been following the forum since then. Had been part of a Ford Escape forum before and learnt hpeas from the guys on there. So car I have learnt heaps here to.
So far I have been really happy with my new ride!
But now want to start working on some simple/cheaper upgrades.
What do you guys think I should start off with??
I was thinking either the shocks or rims. Was thinking of just getting the stock rims painted...after I get them changed under the recall!

Hi Dave!
Want it to look good but mainly touring with mild off-roading. I go camping a fair bit but dont hit any hard hard 4wd tracks or anything.

A lift kit is always handy, especially in a D40 as there fairly low standard.

Decent tyres, 265/75/16 will be fine. Bigger then that just causes headaches, gearing etc.

Longrange fuel tank if your doing remote trips.

Bullbar and spotties if needed, add winch to if you need.

Bash plates for offroad as the D40 radiator is exposed underneath.

UHF for comm's.

The list is endless.

Scotty does sliders which will protect the sills offroad.

Have a look at peoples signatures for ideas and have a look in the members rides section and see what peoples thoughts on certain products are like.
