Nah it's a case of people don't want Gillard and Tony is currently the only other realistic option, it's not that anyone actually likes him or thinks he competent.

It makes no difference who the PM is because it's still the same people behind the scenes. What most people forget is that those 3 independents are really calling the shots. The PM is not in power because she has to cater to them otherwise they will flip their vote.
I heard on the radio today that they said if the PM was to change it's not a certainty that their current arrangement would stand and that a new agreement may need to be worked out.
Strange that they openly admit to blackmail??
