What are the better months to camp at Wyangla Dam?
And where is/are the quietest spot(s)?

The Boss has expressed an interest in visiting Cowra and surrounds for various reasons and I thought setting up camp at the dam would be far more interesting than stuck in a caravan park in town.

The url is here for anyone who hasn't been there;

And here is the one for Grabine which is on the SE corner of the dam waters.

We managed to go there a few years ago when the dam was at 16% full.

I have been going to the Grabine side for the last 32years and i like it allot more then the more popular Dam Wall side (cowra side).
Easter and Xmas are the traditionally busy periods along with the Country Music muster and a big fishing comp , other then that you will normally be one of a handful of people if not the only people spread out over 200 or more acres around the dams edge.
The water level was at 110% not long before xmas but it has dropped a little now to around 92%.
I will post some pics soon if you like.

on the way into the Grabine side of the dam from the "Bigga" enterance about 5km before you get to the parks office you will see on you left a camp area called "Websters" and other then the long weekends and xmas that area is normally empty, it has a small toilet block and BBQ shelter.
