Krankin it's a 1989 d/cab 4x4, Thanks Tony I'll try Nissbits i know him from the Patrol forum.
As for Niss4x4, pass dealt with them before and they are never getting access to my wallet again. I'd rather go private, ebay or via the forums.
just converted my dizzy, it's a Pertronix kit model number 1943. It's a fairly straight forward job. Remove the points and condenser and the plastic bit that they attach to on the side of the dizzy and Viola! No more points.
Ahh yeah, I took a commonwhore from behind this morning and the Nav now has a smacked in nose.... So i'm chasing a front end bits like the bonnet, grille, bonnet latch support brace, front bumper and lower skirt. Anyone in Vic got bits??
Pinelli is right, Thule and Rhino have different rack systems for the Navara and they are different heights, you can get packers and feet of different height to make them the same height as your ladder racks.
the one we fit at work is selectable on/off and priority on reverse. so you can have it on all the time and it lays out a reversing grid when it's triggered. keep in mind it's a tiny screen and the pov will be from your number plate so you don't get a great view of the world behind.
Great price on the tent and awnings, I had one of the winches on my Mav and it worked just fine when it was needed. It's kind of funny though the tent is almost identical to the ARB roof top tent.
Just got an ARB 48L fridge freezer, haven't even turned it on yet. Looking forward to Labour day long weekend to give it a trial run. Now however I need tie down tracking in the tub floor and a to check the wiring on the socket that's in there already.
Brains trust, I had the mule up on stands on the weekend to look for a mystery shimmy in the drive line that turned out to be a tyre with a largish egg on the sidewall causing the tread face to flat spot badly. anyway i was checking for end play in the rear bearings and noticed that i could...
Hey all just to add to the discussion, I work for ARB and for the bulk of our bars we move the fairlead mount holes down 25mm from the original points.
Also all the winches we mount have the cable pulling from the bottom of the drum not the top.
Because Warn winches are packed for the US...
My D21 Z24 is a spritely 416,000km  It's just had new shocks all round and will be getting new leaf springs soon. I replaced the vinyl canopy with a fiberglass job. The engine is tired and unspectacular but it still chuggs along and hopefully will do for some time yet.
unless you can fabricate or know someone who can a 308 conversion will set you back a lot of coin, same with a turbo setup. the standard V6 is reasonably quick and a pretty straight forward conversion from what i've read on here.
but for a really simple and reasonably effective power up add...
I thought my lot were really good, day long party last week for family with rides, catering and bar. Coles Myer gift card from the company, bbq lunch on Friday starting at 2.30 and then a slab from our direct boss to say thanks for the effort. Pretty happy really it's nice to get thanked.
I can only speak for a 4.2 Maverick on gas, I used to get a lot of induction noise, nothing too silly but you could definitely hear the engine drawing in air. On stuff I fit snorkels to at work it's hit and miss, some you can hear and some you can't.
my 2c
First up i don't have a locker this is just what i've heard and observed. Auto lockers in the rear diff are a pain for daily drivers you will chew tyers and the extra load on the drive train will show fast on an old ute. A good LSD or one of the air/electric lockers is a better alternative and...
